Bringing together two well-known Maldives properties in one new resort, the White Sands Resort & Spa encompasses an Island Village (formerly Ari Beach Resort) and a Water Village (formerly Dhidhoofinolhu Water Village ).
A true sense of place is felt throughout the resort, which highlights the rich tapestry of Maldivian style and culture.
Designed to compliment the natural environment; thatched roofs, natural timbers and textiles are to be found throughout the rooms, reception, restaurants and lounge areas.

With 3 restaurants and weekly special dinner events, White Sands Resort & Spa offers a variety of dining options. Vilu Bar & Café
Open throughout the day, from your morning espresso to your nightcap, the Vilu Bar in the Water Village is a peaceful haven with a convivial atmosphere. The ideal meeting point for pre dinner cocktails during our daily happy hour.
Nagili Bar and Pizza Corner
If you want to be in the thick of the action, the Nagili Bar is the perfect night spot! Enjoy refreshing cocktails in a friendly atmosphere. Guests are tempted by the aroma of fresh oven baked pizza at our Pizza Corner located here.
Open daily, our beach side café will refresh you as you soak up the sun or exert yourself with the comprehensive range of water sports that are available.
Sunset Bar

Maximizing the surrounding lagoons, Dolphin Water Sports provides equipment and tuition for you to enjoy windsurfing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, water skiing, pedalo boats, fun tubes and banana rides. White Sands Resort & Spa is well known for housing one of the most comprehensive water-sports centers in the Maldives ensuring that you will have every opportunity to be at one with the ocean.
Many people come to the Maldives for snorkelling and at White Sands Resort & Spa we organize daily snorkelling trips to the house reef, as well as lengthier snorkel safaris. It is not unusual to meet a Whale Shark or a Manta Ray on one of these trips. Of course there are a number of idyllic locations around the island to simply kick off your shoes, relax and do very little.
A myriad of activities and entertainment options are available including local boduberu drumming and dance, live bands, crab racing and beautiful slideshows of the underwater world. Programs change regularly thus ensuring that you do not run out of new things to experience during your stay with us.
Outside Tennis, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, billiard and beach football are some of the activities that are available for the more sporty of our guests. We operate regularly full and half day excursions to the local cultural centre and nearby deserted, resort and local islands. You are also sure to catch a fish or two on one of our night fishing trips or big game fishing. You will so be able to eat your catch at the barbecue afterwards!

White Sands Resort & Spa provides 141 rooms with various styles of accommodation designed to suit all guests and all budgets.
Island Village
Island Village Guest Rooms
Traditionally furnished, rooms located close to the beach. All rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning, heated desalinated water, many have garden shower, IDD telephone, mini bar and private terrace (maximum 2 persons). Larger family rooms, with an additional sleeping area, are available upon request (maximum 4 persons).
Beach Cottages
Spacious and uniquely designed superior accommodation, with direct access to your own private beach. All accommodations have individually controlled air-conditioning, heated desalinated water, outside garden shower and outside oversized bath, IDD telephone, private terrace and mini bar (maximum 3 persons).
Water Village
Over Water Bungalow
Designed in the style of a traditional Maldivian houseboat on stilts, the rooms are situated over the lagoon and are beautifully appointed. Each Bungalow has a private decked terrace with steps directly into the lagoon, heated desalinated water, bath and shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, in-room safe, hair dryer, mini bar, IDD telephone, refrigerator and television. (maximum 3 persons)
Over Water Suite
These double sized bungalows feature all the facilities of the Over Water Bungalows with the addition of a living room or second bedroom, plus a larger private decked terrace. (maximum 4 persons).
2 Honeymoon Bungalows
Set aside away from the other water bungalows, the honeymoon bungalows offer more privacy and seduction.

Transfers
-Return speedboat transfer(for groups a minimum of 10 adults) come at a rate of USD 140.00 per person and USD 75.00 per child ages under 12 years.

Obligatory Supplements

Payment Requirements
For your convenience, Internet Travel Group offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.

-The full amount will be charged at the moment of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
-Cancellations received 15 days or more prior to arrival, a 20% of the full amount will apply as a cancellation fee.
-If cancellation is received between 14 - 7 days prior to arrival, then 30% of full stay charged will apply.
-If cancellation is received within 7 days prior to arrival then 80% of full stay charged will apply.
.No shows and early departure will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
Children Policy
-Baby Cot for child under 2 years will be free of charge.
-Child sharing parents room maximum 2 child applicable in Junior Suite and Water Villa.
-Child or Teenager in own room will be 25% reduction on adult rate.
-Children over the age of 12 are considered adults.
-Children requiring their own room are charged as adults.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.
Special offers and Value Added Extras
All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.
Credit Card
In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
